So I think Frostgrave is a great place to start on this journey into Skirmish Games. I'm not going to talk about the similarities to other games too much, even though its one the the attractive parts about it.
Frost grave has tons of supplementary material, campaigns, solo rules, guest scenarios (Gav Thorpe wrote some and he's one of my faves!) .
I have recently been invited to join a monthly Frostgave Gaming Night at Bristol Independant Gaming so that ticks of the gaming group. My wfie has also said that if it is easier to leanr ten D&D she'll be up for having a play too! Shes played Guild Ball and I may have to build her a war band cut thats easy to achieve (I currently have 5 wizards and their retinue in various stages of warband development).
My initial impressions
I am not doing a review, I have read the book and a few supplements to get my thoughts down but I haven't played yet. But here are my intial thoughts on Frostgrave.
For now I hope you have enjoyed this journey into the Frozen Wastes!
Have you played Frostgrave? What are your most exciting moments? In the meantime I will get back to some painting ( I am seeing how close I can get to painting 100 minis in a week right now) Check out my Youtube to see what I am up to or join the Rate My Mini Facebook Group to have your say!
